Bluetrek intro’s the BIZZ; Bluetooth headset with microSD storage

Section: Communications, Accessories, Mobile

Bluetrek BIZZ Bluetooth Headset

Bluetrek first unveiled the BIZZ during CES 2008, but just recently announced it was available for sale. The BIZZ may look like just another Bluetooth headset, but it has a little something extra on the inside—storage. The on-board storage can be accessed via the USB adapter, which can also be used to charge the headset. The memory comes via a microSD card which has support for cards up to 8GB in size.

Aside from the available on-board storage, the BIZZ will also give you about 6 hours of talk time and 10 days of standby. It weighs just 10 grams and comes with four ear hooks in various sizes, but it can also be worn in the ear, without the ear hooks.

Sadly for those of us here in the US, the BIZZ will initially be launched only in the UK, it will retail for £40 (around $78).

War not yet over for Blu-ray

Section: Video, DVD Players/DVRs

Blu-ray may have won the HD DVD format war but market research companies Gartner and iSuppli warned this victory is fleeting if more consumers opt to download high-definition content from the Internet.

Similar to the movie “The Matrixâ€, the real problem here is choice. Is the physical DVD format still relevant or a thing of the past in this period where consumers can more easily download high definition movies though online stores such as iTunes and Amazon.com? Consumers are now torn whether they should build a library of high definition online movies or invest on Blu-ray discs.

The biggest challenge now for Blu-ray and its battalion of supporters is to convince consumers that high definition discs are worth investing in and position online videos as alternatives. One idea is to lower the prices of Blu-ray DVD players and discs to encourage trial and consequently purchase.

Will Blu-ray win this war? What do you think?

Playing iTunes on My Zune. Hands-on With Double Twist. How Is This Legal?

I took the Subway to work this morning, and like every morning I listened to my Zune and paged through the week’s New York Magazine. I will admit that I was looking at Lindsey Lohan’s bare chest on the crowded 7 train. But that is not what made this morning …

How To: Make USB Warming Gloves Mobile
