Mini Charger Looks Very Much Like iPod Shuffle

Last week’s iPod Shuffle resemblance is nothing compared to this mini charger. If you take a quick look, it’s hard to see if this is the Apple player or some other device.

Anyway, it looks like quite a handy accessory. It features a 5-pin mini USB and it’s compatible with Nokia, Motorola and Samsung cell phones [...]

Sony Ericsson Self-Adjusting Pico-Projector

Sony Ericsson Self-Adjusting Pico-Projector

While cell phone projectors have yet to make a splash in the mass consumer market, Sony Ericsson is already dreaming of creating a self-adjusting pico-projector. This patent application claims that the projected image from a cell phone’s pico-projector will be analyzed by the handset’s camera first, using image-analysis to adjust the color, brightness and focus of the image before beaming it out to obtain the most optimal image at all times. I wonder how batteries in cell phones will deal with such high-powered device integration in the future. Will we see the death of super slim handsets and the return of bulky devices? As it is, today’s multi-functional smartphones are already growing larger and larger in size due to their increased need for additional power.

T-Mobile announce HotSpot@Home Talk Forever

Section: Communications, Accessories

T-Mobile HotSpot@Home Talk Forever

T-Mobile is rolling out a new HotSpot@Home service, this time its the Talk Forever plan and it should build on the success of the current HotSpot@Home plan for cell phones. The HotSpot@Home Talk Forever plan is a similar setup as the cell phone service except its used for landline calling and allows for unlimited nationwide calling from home.

The new Talk Forever plan is an additional $10 per month, which sounds like a good deal. The main drawback right now is that the service requires a new HotSpot@Home router and is currently only available in Seattle or Dallas. No word on when T-Mobile will roll this out to additional areas.
