AT&T Gives the Gift of Ringtones, Headaches

attlogo.jpgLove it or hate it, now that we're knee-deep in December, there's no escaping holiday music. For those of us who have learned to loathe stepping into the supermarket, only to hear the day's seven-hundredth encore of "Feliz Navidad," AT&T's latest deal will only serve to compound the issue. The country's largest wireless carrier is marking the holiday season by giving its customers the gift of free holiday ringtones, answertones, games, and more.

Among the offerings are the ringtones "Jingle Bells," "The Dreidel Song," and "Noche de Paz;" answer tones "Rockin' Around The Christmas Tree" by Cyndi Lauper, "Wizards in Winter" by Trans-Siberian Orchestra, and "Feliz Navidad" by Jose Feliciano; and the game Santa's Tower Bloxx.

AT&T customers can pick up their free gifts by texting GIFT to 7230, or visiting AT&T's site.

The rest of us ought to start looking into giving ourselves the gift of noise-canceling earmuffs.
